April 2025
Dear Friend,
In 2020, Living on the Edge (LOTE) sensed God’s clear calling to expand beyond the United States and invest in training pastors in Africa. In obedience to His voice, we launched our first international training in Africa at the end of 2021. We began with one partner, the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya (EAK), which oversees 60,000 churches. In five months, God enabled us to equip 22,000 pastors—His confirmation that this mission was just beginning.
Today, God has multiplied this work far beyond what we imagined. Our ministry in Africa has expanded from one partner in Kenya to nine partnerships across Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Burundi, Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire. Through these partnerships, we have equipped 217,927 pastors with biblical discipleship training—pastors who are now transforming their communities and congregations.
This February, we hosted the first-ever Africa Partners Gathering in Nairobi. We prayed that God would bring 30 key leaders. Instead, He brought 45 influential leaders from 23 countries—leaders representing 800,000 churches across the continent! It was a powerful time of connection, vision, and shared mission.
What’s next? By God’s grace, we anticipate growing our partnerships to 18 by the end of the year. But with growth comes great responsibility. The need is far greater than our current resources. Our vision is bold: by 2030, we aim to equip 1.5 million pastors, impacting up to 75 million believers. This can only happen with God’s provision—and with faithful partners like you.
Your Impact: Every prayer, every dollar, and every step of faith you take with us advances this mission. Your generosity equips leaders who are hungry for biblical training and empowers churches to flourish across Africa.
Would you prayerfully consider making a special gift today to help train more pastors? A gift of just $13 allows us to train a pastor in Africa and impact an entire congregation for Christ. A gift of $39 equips three pastors, creating a ripple effect that reaches into their communities and beyond.
