Here’s why this is so critical: 

• The tide is turning in America. The current administration’s actions have sparked a return to biblical morality and traditional American values. This has created hope for some, anger for others, and significant economic and political uncertainty both here and abroad.
• The Church’s influence has been damaged. High-profile moral failures by evangelicals and decades of institutional sexual abuse and cover-ups within the Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist denomination have tarnished the Church’s reputation.
• Hopelessness is rampant. Mental health issues, anxiety, depression, and alarmingly high suicide rates, particularly among the younger generation, are cries for help. People are searching for hope, direction, and a life of purpose that transcends social media and personal attempts at fulfillment.
• Christ and His gospel are the answer. The gospel is the solution, but people need to see it lived out in everyday life: at work, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, in local government, and in youth sports activities. That means you and me modeling Jesus’ kindness and concern, speaking winsomely and boldly at every opportunity!
• People are spiritually hungry. Christians must live like Christians. And when we do, you’d be shocked at how open and needy people are. They are seeking help and hope, and God is working through ordinary people like you and me.
• But most won’t look for help at church. Eighty-five percent of American churches are in decline. Their reputation has been deeply marred. But there’s more to the story . . .
• God is moving in new ways. He’s working through outwardly focused mega churches and house churches, vibrant small groups, and a growing movement of younger churches that are reaching beyond their walls, meeting people where they are, listening before preaching, and demonstrating Christ’s love. The results are mind-boggling. . . . A new generation of pastors and Christ followers across our nation and around the world are committed to making disciples and impacting their communities, not just holding weekend services.

Here’s the great news:

• God has placed Living on the Edge on the front lines. He has graciously positioned us to help pastors become personally healthy, learn to make disciples, and use biblical, simple, and replicable tools to create movements within their churches. In 2024, we trained more than 230,000 disciple-making pastors face to face, and we’re on pace to double that this year.
• We’re connected to millions of people like you. Jesus has connected us with spiritually hungry individuals who are making a difference and want to reach, teach, and love their friends and family. We’re addressing tough cultural issues by providing new resources and communicators with expertise to help you walk with God in a chaotic world. Your weekly testimonies inspire us as we partner with you to be Romans 12 disciple makers.
• We’re investing in the next generation. We’re helping your children and grandchildren meet the real Jesus. We’re training churches and pastors on how to reach their own next generation. We’re expanding our digital content and distribution to connect with young adults, addressing the issues they desperately need help with. This will be a very significant financial investment, but it’s essential!

We can’t do this alone. As you will see in the days ahead, we are stepping out in faith, trusting that God will bring you and others alongside us with increased commitment, prayer, and financial support.
