Many people think of Living on the Edge as a radio program or a place to get trusted biblical resources. They see this ministry as a source of practical information to help them grow in faith.
But did you know Living on the Edge is more than a teaching ministry? We are a discipleship ministry. Our mission is to help Christians live like Christians—to equip them to become true disciples of Jesus who live out their faith in meaningful ways. Teaching informs a person’s mind, but discipleship transforms the person’s life.
Nowhere is that transformation more critical than in the lives of those who are called to lead others, because a pastor who is spiritually formed, emotionally healthy, and biblically grounded can impact lives for generations…and generations of believers can transform nations.
Living on the Edge’s pastor training ministry started during the pandemic, when churches were closed and pastors were hungry for tools they could use to guide their congregations through fear and isolation. Chip Ingram developed a resource called The A.R.T. of Survival, based on the teachings of the book of James, to help pastors not just survive, but thrive in times of turmoil. In this program, pastors learn that when we choose the right attitude, look to God for the resources, and begin to see our challenges from His perspective, we can overcome trials with confidence.
This training isn’t simply a curriculum. It’s a lifeline. It’s a community. It’s a way to bring the love of Jesus to places we as individuals may never be able to reach. But there are pastors and believers who are already there—and when they are equipped by training and transformed by the Holy Spirit, they become an unstoppable force for God’s kingdom.
When you support Living on the Edge, you help a ministry leader across the globe learn to BE the disciple he is guiding his congregation to become. You help to deliver the practical and encouraging biblical resource that lifts up a discouraged pastor. You support the hand that reaches out to a victim of natural disaster or persecution with comfort, help, and hope in Jesus. There is no greater gift you can give.
