What does it mean to renew your mind? Living on the Edge’s unique Affirmation Cards for Women by Theresa Ingram are a study and reflection tool to help you replace lies —or common misbeliefs— we believe about ourselves with truth from Scripture. Each of the 20 Misbelief Cards contains a “lie” statement on one side, with a corresponding truth statement + scripture verse on the other side. Plus, 10 Affirmation Cards will help you replace negative self-talk in four common areas: Appearance, Belongingness, Worthiness, Security & Competence.
“You are precious in His sight!
This Affirmation Cards set includes real-life examples of the lies I once believed about myself and God. I became truly free of these misbeliefs as I learned to replace my negative self-talk with God’s truths about myself and my relationship to Him and others. His truth sets us free indeed!
I pray that these Affirmation Cards will help you understand just how deeply loved and precious you are in His sight!
How to use Precious in His Sight Affirmation Cards
What goes into your mind just before you sleep is powerful because your subconscious mind works throughout the night. Wind down with 5-10 minutes of reading the 10 Affirmation Cards and accompanying verses slowly and thoughtfully. Then ponder, reflect, and as God leads, ask Him to strengthen these truths in your heart to prevail and replace the lies.
In the Morning
Choose one of the Affirmation Card categories (appearance, belongingness, worthiness, security, competence) and read the four corresponding Misbelief Cards slowly and thoughtfully. Don’t feel the need to memorize the verses as much as absorb them. By doing this at least five out of seven mornings, you will get through the entire set each week.
Renew Your Mind Weekly
Repeat the daily practice every week. Renewing your mind (Romans 12:2)—by replacing misbeliefs with God’s truth—will transform your thinking and your life!
